Last month, Litemax announced that they can manufacture LCD modules for industrial applications with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 100,000 hours.
The LCD modules are designed to satisfy the requirements of a diverse range of harsh, demanding environments and vertical markets, such as transportation, marine and gaming.
The technology will be available on all models of the Spanpixel and Durapixel range.
Spanpixel
The Spanpixel range has been designed to provide
stretched sunlight readable screens for a variety of outdoor environments. The
product range benefits from low power consumption and high shock and vibration
resistance. The Spanpixel
range also has an operating temperature of between 0°c and 50°c, with low EMI
noise.
Durapixel
The Durapixel range benefits from vast temperature ranges from -30°c to 80°c, can withstand high shock and vibration levels and offers up to 2000 nit LED backlighting, making it a suitable option for transportation, gaming and kiosk applications. The Durapixel range products are available in sizes from 6.5'' - 60''.
Prior to the upgrade to an MTBF of 100,000 hours, Litemax has been providing an MTBF of 70,000 hours throughout each series. Models of Spanpixel and Durapixel with an MTBF of 100,000 hours are available immediately.
