DisplayTouch introduce new vandal proof range of touch screen displays

Here at Display Solutions, we are pleased to introduce the DTSF-15MOFP, a vandal-proof, open frame touch display. This innovative touchscreen product is the latest to be added to our own brand DisplayTouch range. Featuring superior impact resistance, the DTSF-15MOFP is suitable for a wide range of applications, including kiosk, ATM, gaming and ticketing. When sealed in an appropriate customer enclosure, it is equally well-suited for use in outdoor environments.

The DTSF-15MOFP offers projected capacitive touchscreen features, with an optically bonded protective layer of glass secured over the PCAP touch sensor to enhance the performance of the display in outdoor environments. With a total 7.3mm glass stack-up thickness, this ensures high resistance and protection from impacts whilst meeting the UL-60950 requirement. In addition, the edge-to-edge flush design enables easy cleaning, for a bacteria/dust free screen.

“This new DisplayTouch product is an ideal touchscreen solution for harsh outdoor environments where heavy use is likely,” begins Brendan O’Reilly, product manager at Display Solutions. “The DTSF-15MOFP’s PCT features combined with a highly resistant protective glass guarantees users a reliable, accurate and high-speed touchscreen experience.”

Offering both multi-touch and gesture input, these screens are well-suited for a variety of high-performance touch applications. Available as a compact and integrated solution, the touch screen is fitted directly to the unit and no additional assembly is required. The display is HID compliant and therefore easily integrated with a thin client solution or computer.

The DTSF-15MOFP is currently available in 15”, with 17” and 19” versions to follow in 2015, all of which are Windows 7 compatible. RoHS compliant, the screen also carries CE, UL, CUL, and FCC-B safety approvals.

Electronics Design Show 2014: A Recap

We had a great time at the Electronics Design Show in Coventry’s Ricoh Arena this week, with the two day show bringing in floods of engineers, buyers, press and students towards our stand. We were pleased with the turnout to Stand H42 where we were showing off our brand new vandal proof display from our very own DisplayTouch range, alongside an impressive new 42 inch DisplayTouch screen that boasts up to 40 touch points. Other products on show included our high performance embedded systems from Shuttle and our stretched sunlight readable displays from Litemax.

Brendan kept the crowds entertained with the steel ball drop test conducted on our new rugged vandal proof screen from our own brand of touchscreen displays, DisplayTouch. Didn't get a chance to see it for yourself? Check it out  here

The Final Countdown to The Electronics Design Show

At last, we’re in the single figure countdown to the Electronics Design Show, which is being held on the 22nd and 23rd October at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The team are busy working behind the scenes to ensure our product range is ready to present to you next week on Stand H42. It's our first time exhibiting at the show, so we are looking forward to demonstrating our extensive product range in a new environment.

Account Manager Brendan O’Reilly has been busy in the demo room this week prepping the latest product to be released from our DisplayTouch range before it is put to the test on our Stand (H42) next week. That's right, we're going to be conducting a drop test on our stand which will demonstrate just how durable the vandal proof displays are. Make sure you pay us a visit to stand H42 to be the first to view our brand new range of vandal proof displays and see them being put to the ultimate test!

That’s not the only thing you can catch on Stand H42; we are going to be showing off some of our products from our partners Litemax, who specialise in sunlight readable solutions. We will be running the displays off some Shuttle barebone and Slim PC units, which have recently been in the spotlight after being highly commended when installed into a complex outdoor industrial environment.

If you haven’t yet booked a one-to-one appointment to talk to a member of the team at the show, now is your last chance! To book a slot, please email livia@displaysolutions.ltd.uk or call the office directly on 01480 411600. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
