Litemax Wins Seven Taiwan Excellence Awards

Litemax, a world-leading high brightness LCD panel and industrial computer manufacturer, had been awarded seven awards in the 25^th Taiwan Excellence Awards.

The manufacturer presented the world’s first high resolution 4K2K resizing, square-shaped LCD display SSD4215.

Also on show, was their smart shelf display system SSD2755. SSD2755 is expected to combine big data systems with the store as well as collect details about consumer demand to provide more information to the merchant and create an unprecedented consuming experience.

As for industrial computer, IBOX-GPFL-BYT2, Litemax Palm Size wide temperature RuggCore, and IPPC-MR18-IVB1, the model featuring a wide 18.5” LCD and IP68 fully waterproof, have drawn attention of marine and industrial automation buyers and were awarded at the ceremony.

An ultra compact Slim PC, the XH81 by Shuttle, is a low noise media PC. Capable of running 4K displays, featuring two Gigabit-LAN interfaces for server applications, two serial COM ports (image shows 3 additional COM ports using the PCM3) and two digital video outputs.

Supports LGA1150 ‘Haswell’ processors: Core i7 / i5 / i3 / Pentium, Celeron (max 65W) – Intel H81 Chipset

Teamed up with built-in heat pipe cooling, this Barebone system offers an operating temperature range of 0 – 50°C, ensuring the system runs quietly at maximum stability. The unit features two expansion slots for Mini-PCI-e cards. One is a half size slot dedicated for an optional Wireless LAN adapter. The second has full size format and not only features a PCIe interface but also mSATA, supporting the new generation of Solid State Drives in a compact Mini PCIe card form factor. Suitable for kiosk, vending machines, call centre, education and POS applications the Shuttle XH81 is now available from Display Solutions.

Shuttle are currently developing the SC60J - an 8 Com-port PC model suitable for Kiosk/ATM solutions. SC60J is due to launch March 2017 and will come with Apollo Lake CPU on board and a life cycle planned until 2020.

Embedded SBCs with Intel® Apollo Lake Processor for entry-level applications

Avalue, a global embedded solution provider, have launched two new embedded single board computers designed to deal with rising demands on cost, weight and system performance.

Key features of the boards include:

 - Onboard Intel® Pentium®/Celeron®/Atom™ SoC BGA Apollo Lake Processor (N3350/N4200)

 - One 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM Socket, Supports Up to 8GB DDR3L 1866MTs SDRAM (Non-ECC)

- Gen9 GPU

The 5.25”SBC (EBM-APL) offers dual display (LVDS & HDMI). The board also provides 1 SATA III, 1 Mini PCIe, 1 M.2, 4 USB 3.0, 4 USB 2.0, 6 COM and 16-bit GPIO.

The fanless 3.5”SBC (ECM-APL) can run three displays (Dual HDMI, LVDS) and provides 1 SATA III, 4 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0 ,6 COM, 1x Mini-PCIe,1x M.2, 8-bit GPIO.

The SBCs are suitable for entry-level applications including: AIO/compact system, thin client, POS, digital signage and retail.

Mini ITX Drives 4 Independent Stretched Displays

With Litemax’s reputation as the forerunner of sunlight readable, high brightness industrial displays, what better way to push the technological margins than by having WynMax (a division of Litemax Electronics) produce an Industrial Embedded Board, capable of running 4 Independent Displays!

Why is an 'Independent' Display such a big deal?

With installations becoming more space dependant, this board could become an all important feature for future projects.  Imagine a kiosk hosting multiple displays with one System driving it. Digital signage can be shown as a ‘Video Wall’ or each display screening original content, from one source. And with the AMIX-BEGO-A77E Operating Temperature range of 0°C ~ 60°C (32°F ~ 140°F) there’s plenty of room for Industrial Applications.

 
Using a graphics hungry AMD RX-425BB (2.5GHz, QC, 35W) Processor, we put this board to the test by looping HD footage over 4 Stretched Displays (each having it’s own independent desktop) - different Ratios, orientations and resolutions and it brought some exciting results.
